WE ARE CALLING FOR NOMINATIONS FOR INDIVIDUALS OR GROUPS WHO HAVE WORKED TO PROTECT THE RIVER AND ITS WILDLIFE, RAISE AWARENESS OF ITS NEEDS, OR CONNECT THE COMMUNITY TO THE WATERWAY. 

AS PART OF THE AWARD, NOMINEES WILL BE INVITED TO JOIN US ON A SPECIAL CLEDDAU RIVER CRUISE IN SEPTEMBER 2026!

We want to hear from anyone who is doing anything, big or small, to benefit our historic estuary

and its wildlife.

 

If you’re a family, business, school, community group, volunteer or anyone else and you have done something which benefits the waterway - tell us about it!

Litter picks, sponsored swims, river walks, slide shows, coffee mornings, school projects, art and story telling, ANYTHING which has helped raise awareness of the river or its wildlife, we want to know!

Have you convinced your family to take shorter showers, change washing powder or shampoo?  Has your sailing club done a river litter pick?  Do you take people on the water and help them learn about its history or its importance as a natural resource?

 

You might have taken a school group to visit the river.  You might have installed a water butt or planted a wildlife friendly garden.  You might be protecting wildlife on your land or planting different crops.   

 

Your shop might have stopped using plastic bags or encouraged your employees to do a litter pick.  Your cafe might be extra careful about waste and litter or use less water.  Your business might have made sure there are bins in every bathroom for sanitary waste. 

 

EVERYONE can do their bit and we want to celebrate all these little actions which

ultimately add up to a BIG difference. 

 

You can nominate yourself or someone else.  All activities are welcome - from water testing to poster making, anyone can enter!
